This Nymphoides species stands out from many others for its underwater leaves, which feature a vibrant, light green hue and add captivating contrast to other green or coloured plants. Though its origin is unknown, the variety 'Taiwan' is thought to have been first imported from that country. Low-maintenance and especially well-suited to Discus aquaria, the leaf canopy of this species is a popular hangout spot for fish.
