Why do you only sell tissue culture plants?

Tissue culture plants are much easier to ship then potted plants minimising damage on arrival to customers. They are also free from pests and diseases.

Why does Aqua Valley sell plants at low prices?

We believe everyone should have the opportunity to create an aquascape, therefore our prices are kept low as possible without compromising on quality.

What would be the most appropriate number of plants to put in my tank?

This is mainly based on:

  • The size of the aquarium
  • What you want to achieve
  • Personal preference.

We would advise to use as many plants as possible especially in a new setup as there will be excess nutrients released form the soil and if there are not enough plants to absorb the nutrients then you may encounter more algae issues.

Can I keep plants without CO2 injection?

Yes you can as there are many options for easy category plants, however to see the best results CO2 increases this.

Delivery & Return

How much does postage cost?

Orders over £49 is eligible for our free delivery (excluding aquariums) which could take 3 working days from the moment it is dispatched.

For orders below £49:

  • £4.99 for 3 working day delivery
  • £5.99 for 2-3 working day Royal Mail Tracked
  • £6.99 for next working day using either Royal Mail/DPD/DHL order before 1:00pm

Even though our team will package plants for delivery that could take 3-5 days, we do advice to use Next working day delivery for live plants so you receive them in the best condition.

Do you ship outside of the UK?

At this current time we apologise we do not ship outside the UK.

My plants arrived damaged or in poor condition?

Our team packages products especially live plants after inspection using sealable plastic bags and/or bubble wrap to minimise any damage during transit.

If your plants arrived damaged or in poor condition please contact us the same day you received your plants, we will ask you to send a picture of the damaged plants and after confirmation we will ship a replacement of the same plant.

How does your return policy work?

Aqua Valley accepts returns within 14 days of making purchase of non perishable goods. To be eligible the product must not have been used or opened from original packaging.

Maintainance

How often do I need to trim the plants?

This depends on the species of plants, most stem plants for example grow fast. It is recommended for these plants anywhere between 1-2 months after plants have been established in your aquarium.

How often do I need to do a water change?

It is recommended to do a weekly water change of approximately 30-50% of the total volume of water inside your aquarium. This helps balance out excess nutrients and remove waste left from fish and rotting plant debris which will minimise algae.
