Discovered during Dennerle's Florida Plantahunter tour in winter 2012, this grass-like organism shares similarities with Helanthium tenellum (formerly Echinodorus tenellus), but closer inspection reveals varying leaf widths of up to 2.5 mm, as well as a paler, brighter mid-green colour. We aptly named it 'Green'. It goes well with colourful plants such as Hygrophila pinnatifida, and needs similar care and pruning to attain a lawn-like appearance.
