Cryptocoryne parva, native to Sri Lanka, holds the title as the smallest of all Cryptocorynes, standing merely 3-6 cm tall with rosettes less than 5-8 cm wide. Unlike many counterparts, its leaf shape and colour remain consistent regardless of cultivation conditions.
Requiring ample light to prevent leaf plate loss underwater, it should never be overshadowed by other plants. While it grows slowly, POWER CAPS in the substrate can aid development. Spacing individual plants a few centimetres apart allows them to merge into a cohesive low grouping within six months. Highly recommended for the foreground, it adds depth and texture to aquarium landscapes.
